Luxury Apartments for sale in Palmanova

Frequently Asked

Palmanova is a popular beach area perfect for families on the southwest coast of the island. The area was developed in the 1960's as a purpose-built holiday resort. It has an international community, but attracts mostly British tourist and residents. Nowadays you’ll find a variety of restaurant cuisines, beach bars (chiringuitos) and cocktail bars. It has noticeably grown in popularity over the last few years and shows no sign of stopping.

Palma Nova is located in the municipality of Calvià and is a seaside resort with a wide, shallow bay with three beaches; Son Maties, Na Nadala and Es Carregador, and a small marina on the Son Caliu side of the bay. The beaches in Palmanova are especially popular amongst the local volleyball players, setting up their courts and playing in tournaments each weekend, throughout the year.

You will find luxury apartments for sale in Palmanova sweep the bays and offer panoramic sea views from their terraces. Palmanova itself is a small area offering exclusive and luxury apartments. However, a few hundred meters away you will also find Son Caliu, which is considered part of Palmanova where you will also find a range of apartments available to buy.

The town lies in the heart of the popular south west region and is a good location for various excursions around Mallorca. It is well connected with bus routes to the city centre of Palma, Puerto Portals, Santa Ponsa, Paguera and Andratx all within a 15-20km radius.

Palma Nova attracts a good deal of the expat population in the winter months and is lively in summer, but not loud or boisterous.  The town is not as up-market as the nearby Puerto Portals and as such is more affordable than many areas in Mallorca as both as a holiday destination, for holiday homes or a place to buy apartments for living all year round.

Luxury apartments to buy in Palmanova can range from around 550,000€ to 2.500.000€, however you will find more luxury apartments for sale on the southwest coast in more up market areas of the island like Puerto Portals, Bendinat, Port Adriano and Puerto Andratx.

It is important to take into consideration that Palmanova is one of the seasonal parts of the island, during the off-season months it is noticeably quieter with fewer bars, shops and restaurants open.

During the high season however, Palmanova is very busy with several hotels open along the front line, busy bars, restaurants and beaches attracting tourists from across the world.

We highly recommend visiting the area in both the summer and winter months to see the difference in atmosphere.
